San Diego 4th Of July Fireworks 2019: Where To Watch Dazzling Pyrotechnics
Celebrating Independence Day in San Diego is going to certainly be a memorable event this year, with opportunities for both fireworks and fun in plenty of abundance for those located in the city and county.
A full schedule of amazing events will be available for people of all ages in the Southern California city, as well as the surrounding areas in San Diego County. Check out the festivities (all times PT) below.
San Diego:
- Big Bay Boom: Once again, the biggest fireworks display in San Diego County is set to take place at 9 p.m. on July 4th. Free shuttles and free parking are going to be available for those interested in seeing the show, which can be viewed best from several locations around the San Diego Bay, including Shelter Island, Harbor Island, North Embarcadero, the Marina District, Coronado Ferry Landing and even while boating on the water.
- Ocean Beach: The Ocean Beach Main Street Association will once again be sponsoring this 9 p.m. show that takes place off of the Ocean Beach Pier.
- Sea World San Diego: Those with tickets to the Aquatic theme park will be able to watch the park’s own fireworks show in honor of America’s birthday beginning at 9;40 p.m. Those who want to get the best seats can also purchase reserved seating packages for the event for $20-$30 per person.
Coronado:
- 4th of July Celebration in Coronado: A full day of events and celebrations are planned for the island community, including a race, swim, Art in the Park, parade and concert. Of course, the fun will be capped off with a 9 p.m. show of fireworks over Glorietta Bay.
North Coastal:
- Oceanside Fireworks Show: This free event, which features fireworks, takes place at the El Corazon Site from 6-10 p.m.
- Red White and Boom: Those at LEGOLAND in Carlsbad will be able to view this annual show when it takes to the skies above the park beginning at 8:30 p.m.
- San Diego County Fair: The San Diego County Fair in Del Mar takes a bow on the Fourth of July, which will be its final day of operations. However, the event is going out with a bang by having a full day of activities and events planned for the holiday, including fireworks at 9 p.m.
North Inland:
- An Old-Fashioned Fourth of July and Fireworks in Poway: Celebrate America’s birthday “turn of the Century style” at this annual festival featuring DJ music, games and other activities before a fireworks show at night.
- Escondido Independence Day Festival and Fireworks: A full slate of events are set to begin at 4 p.m., with fireworks capping off the night beginning at 9.
- Mira Mesa Fourth of July Celebration: Events are scheduled all day to celebrate the town’s 45th annual parade and other festivities, and will feature fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Rancho Bernardo’s The Spirit of the Fourth: This event features a full day of activities that will be capped off by a fireworks display taking place at 9 p.m. at Bernardo Heights Middle School.
- San Marcos 4th of July Celebration: Taking place at Bradley Park, the fireworks for this event are scheduled to begin at 9 p.m.
- Vista Independence Day Celebration: This event, which features fireworks, a concert and military honors is $5 admission.
East County:
- El Cajon 4th of July Picnic and Fireworks: Come for a picnic at Kennedy park beginning at 2 p.m. and stay for the fireworks at 9 p.m.
- Lake Murray Fireworks and Musicfest: This tradition is making a return to the area after several years on hiatus.
- Santee Salutes-Fourth of July Celebration: A full day of events is capped off by a fireworks display at 9 p.m. and features a $5 parking fee.
South Bay:
Chula Vista 4th Fest: This event takes place at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center and starts at 6 p.m.
Independence Day at the Border and Fireworks: This event features free family-friendly activities, food and drinks, music, and of course, an impressive fireworks display.
