The San Francisco 49ers earned the NFC’s No.1 seed by going 13-3 and winning the division title. The NFC West champs have a bye on Wild-Card Weekend with three possible opponents for their first game of the 2020 NFL playoffs.

The Seattle Seahawks, Philadelphia Eagles or Minnesota Vikings will visit San Francisco in the divisional round. The New Orleans Saints are the only NFC team playing a wild-card game that has no chance to face the 49ers in the second round of the postseason.

If Minnesota upsets New Orleans, the Vikings will secure a trip to the Bay Area. The Saints are heavy favorites Sunday afternoon, laying eight points at home, according to OddsShark.

If New Orleans wins as expected, the winner of the weekend’s final wild-card game will visit San Francisco in the divisional playoffs. The Seattle Seahawks are scheduled to visit the Philadelphia Eagles in arguably the best game of the first round.

Seattle is a short road favorite against Philadelphia. The Seahawks finished two games ahead of the Eagles in the overall standings. Philadelphia won the NFC East by ending the regular season on a four-game winning streak.

The 49ers and Seahawks met in Week 17. San Francisco won 26-21 to win the NFC West and land the No.1 seed. Seattle was stopped at the one-yard line on their final offensive possession.

The Seahawks handed the 49ers their first loss of the season, beating their rivals on the road 27-24 in Week 10. Seattle made a field goal as time expired in overtime.

Neither the Eagles nor the Vikings faced the 49ers in the regular season. San Francisco beat New Orleans 48-46 in what might have been the Game of the Year.

San Francisco finished with the same record as New Orleans and the Green Bay Packers. Head-to-head victories over both teams gave the 49ers the tiebreaker for the top seed.

The 49ers made the biggest leap of any team in 2019 with a nine-win improvement from 2018. San Francisco last made the playoffs in the 2013 season when they lost in Seattle in the NFC Championship Game.
