Add Sandra Bullock to the list of George Clooney fans unhappy about his engagement to British lawyer Amal Alamuddin.

The National Enquirer reported Tuesday, Bullock, 49, a longtime friend of Clooney, is reportedly crushed over the 53-year-old actor’s recent marriage proposal. “Sandra has secretly carried a torch for George for years,” an "insider" close to the “Gravity” film stars revealed, adding that Bullock allegedly believed that the on-screen duo could, one day, make a great off-screen couple. “As long as he was single, Sandra held out hope that they might get together romantically someday," said a source.

According to the tabloid, Bullock is now allegedly a “wreck” over his upcoming nuptials. “After news came out (about George’s engagement), Sandra wailed to a pal, ‘That could have been me!’” said an insider, adding, “Hearing about that just devastated Sandy. It meant that George was off the market for good. It’s hard for Sandy to wrap her mind around.”

While Bullock and Clooney have never officially dated, the actress hasn’t been shy about bringing her thespian pal around her 4-year-old adopted son, Louis. During the October 2013 New York premiere of their Oscar-winning film “Gravity,” Clooney confessed to spending quality time with his female co-star's offspring. “[Sandra] takes very good care of Louis but Louis does prefer a little man time in there,” Clooney told Us Weekly.

Bullock’s response? “If there was a choice between me and George … my son will leave to go with George,” the actress shared at the Directors Guild Awards in January. “He’s a boys’ boy. He has to go and talk to the men,” she added.

Clooney was first photographed with Alamuddin, 36, in October. The couple confirmed their engagement last month. According to reports, Clooney proposed “down on bended knee” when asking for the brunette barrister’s hand in marriage at his home in Los Angeles on April 22. Star Magazine reported that the couple is planning to wed at Clooney’s Italian Villa Oleandra on Italy’s Lake Como.
