Sara Bareilles Is Engaged To Longtime Boyfriend Joe Tippett

"Gravity" singer Sara Bareilles is now engaged to her boyfriend and "Morning Show" actor Joe Tippett.

The 43-year-old singer made the announcement through an Instagram post on New Year's Eve.

"Yes to marrying this man. It's an easy, earned, relaxed YES. @joetipps you are exactly who I want," Bareilles wrote as she shared a photo showing her and the actor smiling and gazing at each other.

"The more I know you the more I know I love you...and you have introduced me to parts of myself I was afraid to love. And now I love ME more because of you. So really this is all about me. Just kidding," the "She Used To Be Mine" singer continued. "What a gift you are. Let the games begin," she concluded. "Onward into absolutely everything with you."

Many of the couple's friends and fans posted congratulatory messages in the comments section.

"Congrats!!!" Mandy Moore said. "Congratulations gorgeous Loves!!!! Onward indeed in all things!!!" singer-songwriter Jennifer Nettles said.

Author and podcast host Glennon Doyle said, "oh. this makes me happy. beautiful perfect beloved sara. how wonderful."

Amanda Kloots, Josh Groban, Busy Philipps, Matthew Koma and Debra Missing also sent wishes to the couple.

Tippett also shared the exciting news on his Instagram page Monday.

"I'm going to marry this woman," the "Mare of Easttown" actor captioned a photo of the "King of Anything" singer looking up at the sky. "Looking ahead to all of the tomorrows, all the adventures, the laughs, and all of the love. Thank you my heart."

Bareilles wrote in the comments section, "Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee we're doing it!"

Before this, Tippett celebrated seven years of sobriety with another Instagram post. "Seven years without a drink," he wrote.

Bareilles and Tippett met in 2015 during an out-of-town staging of the musical "Waitress" at the American Repertory Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Though the pair starred in the musical at separate times, they fell in love and began dating in September 2016. They made public appearances as a couple during several Broadway red carpet events the same year and also at the 71st Annual Tony Awards in June 2017.
