Sarah Ferguson Banned From Queen Elizabeth II’s Flight After This Scandalous Incident
Sarah Ferguson reportedly got banned from taking Queen Elizabeth II’s flight after a scandalous incident took place.
In the documentary “Chasing the Royals: The Media and Monarchy,” it was revealed that Prince Andrew and Ferguson privately announced their plans to separate, but the mom of two was still very much a part of the royal fold.
But one morning, everyone got a hold of their copy of the Daily Mirror during breakfast and saw photos of Ferguson sunbathing with a topless John Bryan. When Ferguson walked into the room, she knew instantly that her game was over.
The Duchess of York used one of the many side entrances of the royal estate in Balmoral and escaped to the airport of Aberdeen that same morning. It was revealed that Ferguson’s travel plans were revealed because she no longer had the privacy and privilege of an aircraft from the Queen’s flight.
Months later, Prince Andrew and Ferguson announced their separation to the world, and they eventually divorced in 1996. Many years later, Ferguson talked about her marriage to Prince Andrew and said that the two of them could have done things differently.
“Both Andrew and I… both of us say now if we could go back we would definitely play it differently and we should have learned how to play the chess game differently at 23. Maybe we have still been together because we would have said no to being separated just after our wedding… I think the love I had for him then, is the love I still have for him now,” she told US TV host Ernie Manouse on “InnerViews.”
Until today, Prince Andrew and Ferguson have maintained an amicable relationship with each other. There are also rumors suggesting that they have been living together in the Royal Lodge even though they are no longer married. The former royal couple was last seen together in public at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding on Oct. 12.
