Sarah Ferguson Confident She Will Be A Good Grandmother To Future Grandchildren
Sarah Ferguson is sure that she will make a good grandmother to her future grandchildren.
Prince Andrew and Ferguson's youngest daughter, Princess Eugenie, is walking down the aisle in October. In the run-up of the next royal wedding, the Duchess of York was asked if she believes she'd make a good grandmother and she gave a positive response.
"Excellent – I used to write children’s books, and I am a child, I haven't grown up," Ferguson said (via Hello!).
Ferguson is dedicated to helping children. In fact, she's busy with her charity that aims to help kids worldwide. Back in May, following the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's royal wedding, she flew to Las Vegas for her "Little Red" series of children's books and toy doll that inspired its stories.
"It's a big day for me. My idea is to find manufacturers today to help me manufacture Little Red so that we can help more children's lives," Ferguson said.
In July, Ferguson also made a big announcement about her charity. According to her, she is partnering with Children Crisis to help educate thousands of children.
"We have solutions and will be able to educate and help 10,000 children of the 25,000 all living in this poverty. I am merging my foundation @ChildrenCrisis with @streetchilduk. So onwards and upwards @streetchilduk @TomDannatt #streetchild #childrenincrisis #nepal #janakpur," the Duchess of York wrote on Twitter.
In related news, just recently, Ferguson also opened up about her future son-in-law, Jack Brooksbank. According to the duchess, they get along well because they share the same love for this particular alcoholic drink - tequila.
"[I will] be the best mother-in-law," Ferguson said. "The best – the good news is Jack also works as the European Manager for Casamigos Tequila, so I am perfect."
Ferguson also revealed that their family dog was also named Jack. According to the Duchess of York, Princess Eugenie's fiancé brought confusion in their household when Prince Andrew told their dog, "Jack! Get off that chair" and Brooksbank jumped up.
Ferguson also believes that Jack will be a good addition to their family. "The thing about Andrew and I is that we go with our hearts, we go with family unity – we really believe in that," Ferguson said. "You can see that – the York Family unity and it is all about just seeing the light in life and Jack is an amazing bringer of light, and he brings joy."
