Sarah Ferguson was snubbed by Prince William and Kate Middleton at their royal wedding on April 29, 2011. The royal couple tied the knot at Westminster Abbey, which was also the same place where Prince Andrew and Ferguson sealed the deal.

During the mom of two’s interview with Oprah Winfrey, she admitted that she wasn’t necessarily hurt by the snub. After all, Ferguson found solace in the fact that Princess Diana wasn’t at her son’s wedding either. The Princess of Wales passed away years earlier following a fatal car crash in Paris.

But what was most difficult for Prince Andrew’s ex-wife was the feeling that she went through during that time. Ferguson said that she felt worthless and thought that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge made the right decision by not inviting her to their nuptials.

“I think what I felt was that I went through the phase of feeling so totally worthless and that [it] was quite right they didn't invite me,” she said.

But even though Princess Beatrice’s mom wasn’t invited to the huge royal event, she said that she thinks Princess Diana would’ve been proud of Prince William. The former royal also admitted to watching the wedding at home since she knows how beautiful Middleton looked on her special day.

Years later, Prince Harry made the bold move of inviting Ferguson to his royal wedding to Meghan Markle. Ferguson said that she’s grateful to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex for bringing her back into the royal fold.

While speaking on “Good Morning Britain,” Ferguson said that she’s grateful and honored to have been invited. However, she wasn’t asked to attend the reception afterward with Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Eugenie.

A source said at that time that Ferguson is no longer an official member of the royal. As such, Prince Charles has no time for her.

“He just can’t see why she is still such a big part of his brother’s life,” the source said.
