Sarah Ferguson has spoken up about her relationship with Prince Andrew.

Royal fans are convinced that the Duke and Duchess of York are still in love with each other. They have been divorced for over two decades, but they remain amicable and are seen together in different events.

Ferguson recently appeared on “Good Morning Britain” where TV presenter Piers Morgan grilled her about her and Prince Andrew's real relationship. According to Ferguson, she's “starting my life at 58.” She also looked back at why they split and blamed their long periods of separation as the duke was always away due to his naval duties.

“It was seven years, 40 days a year, I saw him. It was really, really difficult,” Ferguson recalled (via Daily Star). “It played into my abandonment. We both agreed we didn't fight hard enough to keep it together.”

“Now our life together is the greatest ever,” Ferguson said about her and Prince Andrew's current status. “It's so hard to comprehend because we're not normal. This is our fairy tale, and we're telling it our way.”

In the same interview, Ferguson confessed that she “murdered herself” with self-hatred following their split. She admitted that it was a “long, hard” journey to get over it.

Ferguson and Prince Andrew were seen together in Royal Ascot back in June. They were photographed with their eldest daughter, Princess Beatrice. Ferguson shared a photo of their gathering on social media and called her ex “family.”

“Great day with my family @ascotracecourse @hrhthedukeofyork #Beatrice @princesseugenie #royalascot #racing,” Ferguson wrote on Instagram.

A number of fans were ecstatic with the post and urged the two to get back together.

“You should get remarried,” one user wrote.

“Get back together guys!!!! Love you Sarah!” another user added.

Prince Andrew and Ferguson were last seen together at their daughter Princess Eugenie's royal wedding. The exes sat beside each other, but they were not affectionate toward each other. In fact, Prince Andrew paid little attention to Ferguson.

According to Judi James, Prince Andrew and Ferguson were trying not to divert the attention from the bride and groom. Also, Prince Philip was seated behind them and they didn't want to annoy the Duke of Edinburgh. However, Ferguson looked “slightly isolated and sad.”
