Sarah Ferguson’s Nickname ‘Duchy Doodle’ Has Surprising Connection To Prince Andrew
Sarah Ferguson previously revealed one of her nicknames, which she got only after she tied the knot with Prince Andrew.
During a previous interview on “Talk Stoop with Nessa,” the mom of two said that she was being publicly referred to as Fergie but she also has a nickname behind closed doors. Ferguson said that some people call her Duchy Doodle, and she likes it.
“Duch and then Fergie is fine. I answer to anything really. It’s good isn’t it, I like Duchy doodle,” she said.
However, Duchy doodle didn’t seem to stick to royal fans. At present, Ferguson is still referred to as Fergie. She and Prince Andrew tied the knot in 1986, and they were blessed with two daughters together.
Prince Andrew and Ferguson decided to separate six years after their wedding but they have maintained an amicable relationship with each other. Four years after their separation, the couple finalized their divorce.
But rumors are ripe that Ferguson and Prince Andrew could tie the knot in the near future. Not only are they rumored to be living together at the Royal Lodge; they are also believed to still be close to each other.
Prince Andrew and Ferguson showed a united front during Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s royal wedding on Oct. 12, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle. After the royal wedding, royal fans started urging the former couple to get married once again.
Unfortunately, Ferguson has already said during an interview that she and Prince Andrew are in such a good place at the moment that’s why they are not thinking about getting back together. Prince Philip is reportedly one of the other reasons why Ferguson and Prince Andrew couldn’t get back together.
Ferguson’s spokesperson also denied the rumors of a possible wedding in the coming years.
“The Duke and Duchess of York continue to be good friends and nothing has changed in their relationship,” the spokesperson said.
