Sarah Shahi Gets Asked If Boyfriend Adam Demos Wore Prosthetic In 'Sex/Life'

Sarah Shahi is opening up about filming sex scenes with co-star turned boyfriend Adam Demos for their steamy new Netflix series, "Sex/Life."

The 41-year-old actress was asked during an Instagram interview with theSkimm on Aug. 10 if the 36-year-old Australian actor wore a prosthetic when he filmed his now-viral full-frontal scene from the third episode of "Sex/Life."

"It’s just not my place to tell," the "Person of Interest" star was quoted by Us Weekly as saying. "A woman never kisses and tells, and neither does a gentleman, so…"

Showrunner Stacy Rukeyser previously said in an interview that Demos filmed that scene without a body double.

"No, that’s not a body double," she told Collider in June after the show was released.s "I mean, people usually ask is it real or is it a prosthetic?"

Rukeyser continued, "I can tell you what Adam Demos says about it, which is, a gentleman never tells. So, we are leaving that up to the viewer's imagination."

The scene in question appeared in the third episode when Billie's (Shahi) husband Cooper (Mike Vogel) got curious about her history with her ex-boyfriend Brad (Demos) after reading her diary on how the latter pleasured her when they were together. Cooper stalked the record label executive all the way to the gym and saw Brad's manhood when he was in the shower after an intense workout.

"As he does so, Cooper can’t help but lower his eyes to check out Brad’s package — the instrument that brought his wife so much pleasure," read part of the initial script page of the shower scene. "And S–T — his worst fears are confirmed. Cooper glances back up at Brad, feeling like more of an underdog than ever and guilty as hell he just checked him out."

Though Shahi did not comment on her beau's package during the interview, she did get candid about her experiences filming intimate scenes with Demos.

"As an actor, we spend a lot of time sort of faking that kind of intimacy with somebody," she said. "But what was interesting from my point of view is to fall for the person that you’re supposed to be falling for on camera, it kind of adds an extra bit. You’re kind of like, ‘Oh, I don’t know if this is anything I could have acted.'"

When Demos and Shahi met on the set of "Sex/Life" in September 2020, she was going through a divorce from her ex-husband, Steve Howey. Howey and Shahi, who tied the knot in 2009 and share three kids, finalized their divorce in January, the same month Demos made their relationship Instagram official by sharing a photo of them picking apples.

In an interview with People last month, the "L Word" star said she was "blown away" when she met Demos for the first time. According to her, they had the same taste in music, whiskey and tequilas. At the time, she realized that she wanted more of him.

"Then I got an opportunity to act with him, and I will say, sitting across the other side of the camera with him was just a privilege," she added, before gushing over her boyfriend, "You're only as good as your scene partner. He's amazing in the show."
