  • Sasha Banks issues an invite to three AEW stars to come back to WWE
  • Cody Rhodes' WrestleMania 38 return was celebrated by many in the industry
  • Banks' petition for Jon Moxley, Dustin Rhodes and Ruby Soho to return to WWE might take a long while

All Elite Wrestling (AEW) is continuing to make waves in the pro-wrestling industry, but one-half of the newly-crowned WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions wants to see some of them come back to the Stamford, Connecticut-based outfit

Sasha Banks, speaking with Steve Fall of NBC Sports Boston’s “Ten Count” podcast, glowingly spoke about the return of Cody Rhodes while also issuing an open call to AEW stars Dustin Rhodes, Ruby Soho and Jon Moxley.

“I wasn’t backstage when he (Cody Rhodes) came back so I can’t tell you [what happened then]. For me, it was so cool. I am such a big fan of the Rhodes family. Dusty Rhodes has given me everything, laid the foundation for me,” said Banks.

“Next, let’s bring back Goldust (Dustin Rhodes), let’s bring them all back. Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley), you want to come? Let’s go! The more, the merrier. Let’s do it. I would love to see Ruby Riott (Ruby Soho) back in the WWE Universe, yes, absolutely.”

The man formerly known as Goldust left WWE back in March 2019 and began feuding with his younger half-brother Cody in AEW a month after.

Dustin has stayed with AEW ever since his critically-acclaimed feud with Cody.

As for Moxley, he has found life after WWE by holding the AEW World Championship once and has served as one of the main guys in the start-up organization since reverting back to his indie wrestling name.

The most recent of the three AEW stars to make her debut in the promotion, Soho’s arrival in Tony Khan’s company back in January of this year was heavily discussed in the internet wrestling community.

Soho competed for the inaugural AEW TBS Champion where she would be defeated by Jade Cargill.

Seeing Cody make his return to WWE six years after he left for AEW was one of the most talked-about events during the two-night spectacle of WrestleMania 38, and no one can fault Banks’ hoping the same for her other friends.

At least for “The American Nightmare”, his new WWE run seems to be filled with promise and he is being treated like the superstar that he is.

Though Banks’ comments were light-hearted and said in jest, the implications of their return to the company will help shore up the self-created issues they have had with their depth.

However, it might be a long while until the AEW stars she mentioned may come back home as they are all enjoying their respective runs in Khan's pro-wrestling promotion.
