'Saturday Night Live' Alum Chris Redd Dating Former Co-Star Kenan Thompson's Ex Wife: Report

"Saturday Night Live" alum Chris Redd is reportedly dating his former co-star Kenan Thompson's ex-wife, Christina Evangeline. The report comes just months after Thompson filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years in May.

Redd and Evangeline's relationship started within the past year but there's no bad blood between Redd and Thompson, TMZ reported. According to the outlet, there was "no overlap or cheating" when they entered the relationship as Thompson and Evangeline had been intending to divorce and living separate lives since 2019.

"We're told Kenan's aware of his ex's romance with Chris and has no hard feelings—he's apparently moved on and is happily dating other people," reported the outlet.

Redd and Evangeline have reportedly known each other for six years and have been respectful of each other since the beginning. It remains unknown when exactly things turned romantic between them, but TMZ said their romance had nothing to do with Redd's departure from "Saturday Night Live."

The comedian announced just last week that he would not return for the 48^th season of the hit NBC sitcom. He was then spotted hanging out with Evangeline in NYC, leading to speculations that he might have been fired by Thompson. However, the outlet refuted the claims.

"Our sources say that's far from the truth—which is that Chris chose to leave because of a handful of upcoming projects, including a stand-up special for HBO Max and an Audible project with Lorne Michaels," said the outlet. "Obviously, that project wouldn't be happening if Kenan had urged Lorne to boot Chris."

The outlet also noted that Thompson has been aware of his ex-wife's romance with Redd and has no hard feelings, as he has moved on from their marriage and is now happily dating other women.

Thompson and Evangeline tied the knot in 2011 and reportedly started living separately in 2019. The ex-couple grew apart after being married for years, but they remain great friends.

After Thompson filed for divorce from Evangeline earlier this year, he and his ex-wife agreed to joint custody of their two daughters, Gianna, 3, and Georgia, 7.
