‘Saved By The Bell’ Movie 2014: Sneak Peek Video Of Lifetime’s ‘Unauthorized’ Story Previews Drama Between Cast Members
Think you know “Saved By The Bell”? Think again! Lifetime just released a sneak peek video of their upcoming original movie, “The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story,” and it’s jam-packed with drama that you never knew went on behind-the-scenes.
Lifetime’s “Saved By The Bell” movie is about the “experiences of six unknown young actors placed in the Hollywood spotlight, exposing the challenges of growing up under public scrutiny while trying to maintain the squeaky clean image of their popular characters both on and off-screen.” But don’t expect to see the original cast members from the early 90s sitcom – Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Dustin Diamond, Mario Lopez, Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley and Lark Voorhies. Instead, Robin Lippin, the original casting director from the NBC series, jumped on board to bring fresh blood to the project.
Dylan Everett of “Degrassi: The Next Generation” will be tackling Gosselaar and his on-screen character, Zack Morris. Sam Kindseth of “Shameless” will be playing Diamond and his on-screen character, Screech. Julian Works of “Paranormal Activity” will taking on Lopez and his on-screen character, A.C. Slater. Alyssa Lynch of “The High Jumping Witch” will be playing Thiessen and her on-screen character, Kelly Kapowski. Tiera Skovbye of “Supernatural” will be tackling the role of Berkley and her on-screen character, Jessie Sapano. And Taylor Russell McKenzie of “Blink” will be portraying Lark Voorhies and her on-screen character, Lisa Turtle.
Watch the drama unfold in the sneak peek video as Taylor Russell McKenzie’s Lark Voorhies and Alyssa Lynch’s Tiffani-Amber Thiessen battle it out over some light flirting with Dylan Everett’s Zack Morris.
“The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story” will premiere on Lifetime on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 1, at 9 p.m. EDT. Will you be tuning in? Tweet your thoughts on the sneak peek video to @AmandaTVScoop.
