Can Olivia Pope be her own client? The season 3 promo video for “Scandal” has been released on Entertainment Weekly and it appears like the woman who wears the white hat is in a heap of trouble.

At the end of season 2, Olivia’s affair with the president was leaked to the press, and season 3 looks like she’ll be dealing with the fall out.

“I’m in love with a woman that is not my wife,” Fitz can be heard voicing over in the 30-second trailer. But the true feelings that the two may share mean nothing to the press who is hungry to expose the president’s infidelity.

“Is it true that you’re having an affair with the president?” one reporter yells in a clip from the season 2 finale. And for the first time it appears like Olivia doesn’t know what to do to save the situation.

“My name is out there,” Olivia stresses to Fitz. “We need to make a plan.”

But as her father warns, “They will gut you and everyone you know.” But who is “they?” Besides the press and Fitz’ opponents, Olivia needs to worry about Mellie and Cyrus.

“I will pull out our dirty laundry and share it with the world,” Mellie threatens in the video. Meanwhile Cyrus can be heard telling his employees to “start a kill folder on Olivia Pope.”

And in world where Olivia and Fitz have to be careful who they trust, it appears like Olivia’s own “gladiators” have betrayed her.

The video ends with Olivia yelling at her team, “What did you do?”
