‘Scandal’ Season 3 Spoilers: Sneak Peek Video Of Premiere Shows Olivia Meeting With Fitz In Episode 1, ‘It’s Handled’

Get ready for the season 3 premiere of “Scandal” because it’s definitely going to be an episode you won’t want to miss. Set to return on Thursday, Oct. 3, the ABC series won’t be skipping on any drama.
During the season 2 finale, viewers watched as Olivia Pope’s affair with President Fitzgerald Grant was leaked to the press. With her name linked to the biggest scandal to date for both the White House and Pope & Associates, episode 1, “It’s Handled,” will find everyone dealing with the fallout and how to handle things … which involves a “surprise allegiance.”
Thanks to a sneak peek of the premiere posted by Huffington Post, fans can speculate that the “surprise allegiance” is with none other than the first lady, Mellie.
The minute and a half video shows two military men escorting Olivia down a hall and using a key card to provide her access to a special bunker room.
“Hi,” Fitz says when she walks in. “Hi,” she responds. “We don’t have a lot of time.”
Fitz immediately starts attacking Olivia for pulling the “fire alarm” which locks down the White House. “You don’t work in the White House anymore,” he yells at her, explaining that the code was for “extreme emergencies” and can’t ever be used again. “You’re not in the bubble anymore. I can’t get the NSA to overlook you being issued a providence key again.”
And while it seems like he’s angry with her, Fitz finally starts to soften up a little bit. “If there was an attack – terrorist, chemical, nuclear -- I can’t get you. You understand?” he asks. “You’re on the outside. You’re dead. Because you already pulled the fire alarm.”
Keeping quiet, Olivia finally opens up. “We’re already under attack,” she fires back heatedly. “And I’m already on the outside. My name is out there. We need to talk about how to fix this. We need to make a plan.”
Agreeing that they need to make a plan, Olivia says that it has to wait until “all of us are here.”
Fearing that she invited Cyrus, Olivia shakes her head and the door opens …
