Wedding bells are in the air! After years of being the mistress, Olivia (Kerry Washington) is going to finally become a wife in Season 5, episode 6 of “Scandal.” That is, if Cyrus (Jeff Perry) gets his way.

That’s right, Cyrus is back in the White House as Chief of Staff and he’s ready to fix Fitz’s (Tony Goldwyn) affair problem with a quickie marriage! The synopsis for episode 6, titled “Get Out Of Jail, Free,” teases that Fitz and Olivia will be “presented with a shocking plan that might just make all their troubles go away.” And thanks to the promo video, fans know that the “shocking plan” is none other than a wedding.

“You two are getting married,” Cyrus tells Olivia and Fitz.

Needless to say, Olivia doesn’t think that the “shot gun wedding on the heels of a quickie divorce” is the best course of action.

But that’s not the only drama to expect in episode 6. The synopsis continues that Mellie (Bellamy Young) will get “put through the ringer when confronted about her troubled marriage.” Elsewhere, Vice President Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani) will turn to David (Joshua Malina) for advice. However, the real jaw dropper next week appears to be the reappearance of Papa Pope (Joe Morton). The promo shows him getting strangled. Could this be the end for Olivia’s father?
