‘Scandal’ Season 6 Ratings Improve With 100th Episode Amid Alternate Timeline
“Scandal” aired its 100th episode on Thursday, April 13, and the show’s ratings improved considerably compared to the previous episode.
According to TV Line, episode 10 drew in 5.3 million viewers and a 1.3 demo rating. This shows a four percent increase for the hit ABC series and a tenth week to week. In the episode, titled “The Decision,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes came up with an idea that showed what would’ve happened to Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the rest of the characters if she hadn’t fixed the election results several years ago.

In the alternate timeline, Olivia and Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) had a chance to tie the knot. The latter decided to leave Mellie (Bellamy Young) to be with the woman of his dreams. However, Olivia and Fitz’s love story ended in vain when the latter turned out to be a drunkard. Olivia also regretted the fact that she did not fix the elections for the sake of Fitz.
Elsewhere in the episode, Abby (Darby Stanchfield) and David (Joshua Malina) are happily married. Huck (Guillermo Diaz) is still a hacker, and he is being taken care of by Olivia. He is also obsessed with a reality TV show called “The Prince,” which is similar to ABC’s “The Bachelor.” Huck’s love interest in the present timeline, Quinn (Katie Lowes), happened to be a contestant on “The Prince.” Additionally, Cyrus (Jeff Perry) kept his sexuality to himself, but he had a relationship with James (Dan Bucatinsky). He also eyed Mellie to become the next president of the United States after Olivia’s refusal to fix it in favor of Fitz.
“Scandal” Season 6 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
