“Scandal” Season 6 recently cast Zoe Perry, Jeff Perry’s daughter, in a recurring role. However, details regarding her casting are still being kept under wraps.

Here are four possible roles that Perry could play in the hit ABC series.

1 Olivia Pope’s nemesis

Lead character Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) has never met her match in the first five seasons of “Scandal.” Every time someone tries to take her down, Olivia typically rises to the occasion and fires back. In fact, even her father, Rowan (Joe Mortan), with whom she has had a trying relationship with, couldn’t get rid of her. Zoe could therefore be introduced in the show as someone from Governor Vargas (Ricardo Chavira) and Cyrus Beene’s (Perry) office who could stand toe-to-toe against her.

A poster for “Scandal” Season 6 was recently released online and it has the tagline, “The balance of power is about to shift” on it. This suggests that an unlikely pair may take over the White House.

2 A politician or a political aspirant

Perry may also play the role of a politician or someone who wants to run for office. This could pose a threat not only to Olivia’s life, but also to the lives of the other characters.

3 A member of Olivia Pope and Associates

Perry may also be the newest member of Olivia Pope and Associates (OPA). As the new addition to the team, she could work closely with Huck (Guillermo Diaz), Quinn (Katie Lowes) and Marcus (Cornelius Smith Jr.).

The Gladiators are three people Olivia trusts the most. The lead character also employs their help in killing her enemies.

4 A love interest for one of the characters

Perry may also be introduced as a love interest for one of the characters in the series. Since President Fitzgerald (Tony Goldwyn) will be leaving the White House soon, he may have time to finally get into a serious relationship.

“Scandal” Season 6 will premiere on ABC on Jan. 19 at 9 p.m. EST.
