‘Scandal’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 3 Synopsis Released Ahead Of Premiere
“Scandal” Season 6 has not yet premiered, but ABC has already dropped the official synopsis for episode 3, titled “Fates Worse Than Death.”
According to the episode synopsis, the installment will focus mostly on Cyrus Beene (Jeff Perry) and his desire to become the next vice president of the United States. He is campaigning with Governor Francisco Vargas (Ricardo Chavira), but it’s possible that he will not head to the White House. By the looks of it, Governor Vargas will become the new president of the country, but he won’t be interested in working with Cyrus for the next four years.
Elsewhere in the episode, Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and the Gladiators will stop at nothing to find out why Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) lost the election. Olivia has been confident that Mellie would head to the White House after the votes are cast. But a shocking twist will reveal that she will not follow in her estranged husband’s footsteps. Olivia and Gladiators believe that they were cheated in the elections, and they will immediately try to get to the bottom of the incident.
Meanwhile, the first 10 minutes of the premiere episode of “Scandal” Season 6 will unveil the name of the new president. But a series of flashbacks will also be featured in the episode. The events leading up to the election, along with everything that Olivia had to go through for her client, will also be revealed.
In addition, Olivia and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) will also reunite in episode 1. The latter will soon leave the Oval office, so he might focus on winning Olivia back from now on. Unfortunately, the latter may no longer be interested in him or any man for that matter.
“Scandal” Season 6, episode 1 will air on ABC on Jan. 26 at 9 p.m. EST.
