‘Scandal’ Season 6 Spoilers: Kerry Washington Confirms Release Date Of ABC Show’s Official Teaser
“Scandal” Season 6’s official teaser will be released on Thursday, Nov. 3.
On her Twitter account, lead star Kerry Washington shared a first look from the new and explosive clip. The actress also gave a shoutout to all “Scandal” fans, whom she adoringly calls Gladiators. The 10-second teaser didn’t give away much information about Season 6, but it already confirmed that Olivia Pope (Washington), President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) and Abby Whelan (Darby Stanchfield) will be in great trouble.
Meanwhile, Olitz shippers will be delighted to know that Olivia and President Fitz will have several scenes together. In the short video, the estranged lovers could be seen literally leaning on each other, hinting that they are still very close despite their split.
Over the past seasons, the two characters’ on-again, off-again relationship took center stage in “Scandal.” More recently, the couple decided to split after Olivia realized that becoming the first lady wouldn’t be good for her.
There are also rumors that Olivia and President Fitz will reunite romantically in the upcoming episodes. After all, the latter’s stint as the president of the United States will come to an end soon. A new president will be named, and it could either be Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) or Governor Vargas (Ricardo Chavira).
The latest season of the hit ABC series could also potentially feature several major deaths. In the teaser, Huck (Guillermo Diaz) and Quinn (Katie Lowes) were on their way to an empty lot when it exploded right before their very eyes. As of late, it is still unknown who is in the location at the time of the bombing.
Other than the teaser, viewers are also anticipating the arrival of “Glee” alum Jessalyn Gilsig, who took Joelle Carter’s place in portraying the role of Jake Ballard’s (Scott Foley) wife, according to TV Line.
“Scandal” Season 6 will premiere midseason early next year.
