‘Scandal’ Season 7: Fitz’s Fate In Vermont Post-Presidency Teased In Episode 3
“Scandal” Season 7, episode 3 will shed more light on Fitz Grant (Tony Goldwyn) as he lives a normal life in Vermont following his presidency.
It’s been 100 days since Fitz left the White House and passed on the torch to his ex-wife, President Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young). Fitz has been doing his best to stay out of the limelight, but he will be linked to the oval office again after Marcus (Cornelius Smith Jr.) teams up with him to work on Fitzgerald Grant III Presidential Library.
ABC has dropped a teaser for “100 days,” and it opens with Fitz and Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) seeing each other again after over three months. Olivia has a surprised look on her face when she sees Fitz standing inside one of the offices in the White House.
The next couple of scenes in the 19-second clip teased Fitz’s whereabouts during that span of time. He is seen riding a car, exercising outdoors, being greeted by his staff and having a conversation with Marcus. But it seems that Fitz will no longer be able to enjoy his low key lifestyle when he sees Rowan (Joe Morton) inside his home. Olivia’s dad is holding a gun, and he asks Fitz to sit down so they could talk.
“Scandal” Season 7, episode 3 is an episode that was directed by actor Scott Foley. He also stars in the series as Jake Ballard. He and Olivia have decided to hook up once again even after he vowed to never allow her to enter his life. But it’s still obvious that Olivia has feelings for the former president of the United States. But whether or not she and Fitz will act on it again is something fans need to watch out for.
While speaking with TV Guide, Goldwyn said that Fitz will reunite with Olivia without knowing what has happened to her in the past couple of months. “His last interaction with Olivia was her attacking him for almost slipping down that slope himself when he decided to take over B613 and said, ‘I’m going to make something great of it.’ He thinks she’s been wearing the white hat, and he honors that. If that changes, Fitz will be profoundly alarmed and concerned,” he said.
“Scandal” Season 7 airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC.
