Scarlett Johansson-Romain Dauriac Split: All You Need To Know About 'Avengers' Star's Ex-Boyfriends
Actress Scarlett Johannson, 32, has filed for divorce from her French husband Romain Dauriac, 34, and is preparing for a custody battle over their three-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy Dauriac, Page Six reported. The "Ghost in the Shell" star started dating Dauriac in 2012 before exchanging vows in October 2014, after dating for two years, soon after she gave birth to their daughter.
Johannson and Dauriac, who owns an independent advertising agency, had been private about their relationship. The rumor about their split started surfacing when the "Avengers" star was spotted without her wedding band on numerous occasions.
The A-list actress was previously married to Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011, after the two began dating in 2007. Johansson referred to her marriage with Reynolds as "competitive", US Weekly reported.
"The logistics of being with another actor are challenging," the "Jungle Book" actress said at the time. "There has to be a real understanding of how you share your time, especially when two people's careers are going at the same rate. Or even if one person is more successful than the other, that also proves challenging. There may be a competitive thing," she said.
After splitting from Reynolds, Johansson dated actor Sean Penn, 24 years her senior, for about six months, in a highly publicized relationship that lasted until June 2011. She said: "We spent time together, yeah. I never put a title on it, really, but we were seeing each other." She said, "He’s a remarkable person. He really is," Metro reported in April 2012.
After Penn, Johansson was spotted getting cozy with ad-executive Nate Naylor from 2011 to 2012 before the couple split in October 2012. They were introduced by mutual friends, and tried to keep their romance as low-profile possible, Page Six reported in February 2012.
Johansson was also rumored to have dated Justin Timberlake after she appeared in his 2007 music video for "What Goes Around/Comes Around Interlude," as reported by CeleBuzz.
Johannson dated Josh Hartnett from 2005 to 2007, after meeting on the sets of one of their movies, but they eventually split due to distance and other commitments. When asked by Elle magazine about finding love on the set, Hartnett had said, "I don’t recommend it to young actors. You can make a lot of enemies in the business that way. But when you work with somebody every day, it’s like trial dating. You develop a fantasy about them. It doesn’t always work out, does it?”
From 2004 to 2005, Johannson and Jared Leto, the "My So-Called Life" actor, were spotted in Los Angeles. However, both never confirmed their relationship, according to Ranker, a social consumer web platform designed around collaborative and individual list-making and voting.
From 2001 to 2002, while Johansson attended the Professional Children's School, she dated her classmate Jack Antonoff, who later become the guitarist for the band "Fun", as reported in the New York Daily Times.
