Something Borrowed comes out this weekend. Starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Kate Hudson, Colin Egglesfield and John Krasinski this film tests various friendships when secrets surface about their relationships. The plot is simple: Rachel, played by Goodwin, falls for Dex, her best friend Darcy's, fiancé. Hudson takes on the role of the loud and fun Darcy. Rachel is an unhappy single, hardworking lawyer in New York. After having too much to drink at her thirtieth birthday party she sleeps with Dex, the man she's been in love with since law school but who is also her best friend's fiancé. The film is based on a novel by Emily Griffin also titled Something Borrowed. The film was developed by Hilary Swank's shared production company. The romantic comedy was directed by Luke Greenfield and distributed in the United States by Warner Bros. Pictures.
