‘Scorpion’ Season 3 Finale Ratings Soar Amid Paige, Walter’s Reunion

“Scorpion” Season 3 aired its final episode on Monday, May 8, and the ratings for the episode reached a three-month high for the hit CBS TV series.

According to TV Line, “Scorpion” Season 3, episode 24, titled “Maroon 8,” garnered a total of 7.5 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. These are the highest figures to have ever been delivered by “Scorpion” since its Feb. 6 episode.

In “Maroon 8,” Team Scorpion found themselves trapped on a deserted island. While there, Sylvester (Ari Stidham) stressed over everything he could possibly think of, and the rest of team struggled to make him feel at ease.

The installment also focused primarily on the Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) romance. In the previous episode, Walter finally came to terms with the fact that he had feelings for Paige. The latter also reciprocated after years and years of waiting for Walter to profess his feelings. On Monday night’s episode, Walter struggled a little bit with regards to expressing himself to Paige. It’s clear that he loves her deeply, but he just cannot jump from friend to boyfriend in an instant.

Luckily for Walter, Paige had always been understanding of Walter’s inability to express his emotions. When Walter told her that he cannot be her boyfriend yet, Paige told him that she’s fine with however he wants to express his feelings towards her. By the looks of it, Paige and Walter becoming an official couple will play a huge role in the upcoming fourth season of “Scorpion.”

Elsewhere, Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas), who just tied the knot in “Scorpion” Season 3, episode 23, started talking about things that they didn’t know about each other. Happy told Toby that there’s a lot of things about her that he should know about. However, Toby felt that it was a bit weird for Happy to tell him these things after they got married. In the end, Happy’s secrets were not a big deal. One of the things she told Toby was that she had a singing career in the past, but she decided to stop pursuing it.

Meanwhile, the first part of the finale episode ended with a three-week time-jump where Sylvester has already grown a beard, and Paige and Walter have grown closer to each other. Happy and Toby are also dealing with their new status as husband and wife, sparking speculations that “Scorpion” Season 4 could see Happy getting pregnant.

Next week, the second half of the finale episode will be released on CBS. By the looks of it, Team Scorpion will be able to get out of the deserted island. But before they could do so, the couples in the show will first struggle with their relationships. It is possible that not everyone from the team can be saved at the same time so Happy, Toby, Paige, Walter and Sylvester would have to decide on who will be rescued first.

“Scorpion” Season 3, episode 25, titled “Scorp Family Robinson,” will air on CBS on May 15 at 9 p.m. EST.
