‘Scorpion’ Season 3 Ratings Drop To Series Low Amid Season 4 Renewal
“Scorpion” Season 3 ratings dipped to a series low following Monday night’s episode.
According to TV Line, the CBS series only drew a total of 6.4 million viewers and garnered a 1.0 rating. These digits are much lower compared to what “Scorpion” garnered for episode 20 considering the recent hiatus. In episode 20, the series received 40,000 more viewers and a 1.13 rating, according to TV Series Finale.

The recent dip is unfortunate news for the creators of the show, the cast and even the CBS execs. After all, “Scorpion” has just been renewed for Season 4 last month. At the time, CBS also renewed some of its other shows, namely, “Life in Pieces,” “Madam Secretary” and “Mom.” However, it is still unclear how many episodes the upcoming season will have.
Ahead of Season 4, “Scorpion” Season 3 still has two more episodes before the finale. There are rumors that the finale will feature Happy (Jadyn Wong) and Toby’s (Eddie Kaye Thomas) wedding. Initially, Thomas said during one of his interviews that “Scorpion” won’t be “Scorpion” if there are no twists. This led to the speculation that the actual wedding won’t happen in Season 3.
But TV Line also reported that the much-awaited wedding episode will air sometime in May. In the episode, Paige (Katharine McPhee) and Walter (Elyes Gabel) will play a huge role in the couple’s wedding, since they contributed a lot during the preparations. In the episode, Team Scorpion will be tasked to complete another mission, but doing so could mean Happy and Toby’s nuptials will be postponed. However, Paige and Walter will do everything in their power to make sure this won’t happen.
“Scorpion” Season 3 airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
