Scott Disick Admits Kourtney Kardashian Had Something To Do With Sofia Richie Split

Scott Disick got candid about his split from Sofia Richie during a heart-to-heart talk with his ex Kourtney Kardashian.

In a sneak peek at the upcoming finale season of “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” Disick gets honest about his breakup with Richie, admitting that the latter wasn’t really his priority during their relationship.

“I've always been clear that my priority has been my children, my life with them,” the 37-year-old socialite tells the 41-year-old reality star. Disick then makes it clear to Kardashian in the teaser clip that she has also been one of his priorities all this time. “I even put it out there that taking care of you is one of my priorities.”

The Talentless designer admits that Richie may have felt neglected since he was spending so much time with Kris Jenner’s daughter throughout their three-year relationship. “Anybody dating somebody is going to feel neglected when their significant other is spending more time with their ex than with them,” he says in the trailer.

Despite Disick’s admission, Kardashian clarifies that even though their kids benefit from their strong relationship, he shouldn’t be afraid to make other people their priority, especially if he is seriously dating another person.

Kardashian and Disick officially called it quits in 2015 after being together for almost a decade and despite sharing three kids together — Mason, 11, Penelope, 8, and Reign, 6, as per People.

Disick and Richie, 21, first sparked romance rumors in May 2017. They didn’t confirm anything at the time, but they were spotted together on several occasions after that. In September that same year, a source close to the two confirmed that they were a couple and that they have become inseparable.

In May 2020, an insider told E! News that they have called it quits, but it was just temporary since they were dealing with different things at the time. Another source alleged that Kardashian played a role in their breakup. In June 2020, a different source claimed that a reconciliation was in the cards. However, multiple outlets confirmed in August that they have broken up for good.

Although many attributed the split to Disick and Kardashian’s close bond as co-parents, Elle reported that the main reason for the breakup was their 15-year age difference and their different priorities.

As of late, Disick and Kardashian are dating other people. The former is currently romancing 19-year-old actress Amelia Hamlin while the latter is with musician-record producer Travis Barker.

“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” Season 20 is set to premiere on Thursday, March 18, on E!
