‘Scream’ Season 2 First Promo Video Released With New Premiere Date
Emma (Willa Fitzgerald) learned in “Scream” Season 1 that no one can be trusted after she learned each week of lies her friends and family hid from her. More secrets are going to be revealed in Season 2 and the masked killer will return with some unfinished business. Fans got a brief sneak peek with a new promo video released Friday, which also revealed a new premiere date.
The video features Emma, Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus), Brooke (Carlson Young), Noah (John Karna), Kieran (Amadeus Serafini) and Jake (Tom Maden). Each look directly into the camera before they fade into darkness. Voiceovers from Season 1 of the show also play throughout the video.

In addition to the promo video, MTV also announced the Season 2 premiere date would be changing. The sophomore season was slated to begin on Tuesday, May 31, but the network has now bumped the show to Monday, May 30.
Season 2 is expected to pick up in the aftermath of Season 1. Emma will return to Lakewood after spending some time away at a “retreat” to work through the trauma she experienced. Her friends won’t know how to approach her because they’re concerned she’s still haunted by the Season 1 killings. The show will also have to answer what Audrey’s role was in all of the killings. She was connected in some way and will likely be the killer when the series returns.
In addition to many returning characters, there will also be a few new faces in Lakewood. Austin Highsmith has joined the cast as a psychology teacher named Karen Lang and Anthony Ruivivar will play Sheriff Michael Acosta.
"Scream" Season 2 premieres on Monday, May 31 on MTV at 10 p.m. EDT. Are you excited for Season 2? Sound off in the comments section below!
