Kate Middleton was praised after losing against Prince William in a charity match.

On Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stepped out to launch the inaugural King’s Cup regatta that raises awareness for their patronages. Prince William and Middleton surprisingly brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte along.

The two royal kids cheered for their mom and dad as Prince William and Middleton competed against each other for the historic King’s Cup. In the end, Prince William won.

In the photos shared by Kensington Palace on Twitter, Middleton can be seen looking down and covering her face with her hands. Prince William looks at his wife with a huge smile while clapping his hands.

“It’s the taking part that counts,” the caption reads.

Many found Middleton’s reaction funny and “cute.” Some said that she would surely want a rematch.

Meanwhile, a number praised her for being “adorable.” One netizen said that the royal mom of three is still “adorable even when she loses.”

Royal fans were quick to praise and cheer up the duchess. For them, Middleton still did a good job and it’s her participation that really counts.

“Never mind Catherine, we still love and admire you, always a next time,” one netizen wrote.

“This moment was so funny! But don’t worry Catherine! You still did a good job!! But you can be sure William won’t let you forget this for a while,” a different user added.

In related news, Prince William and Middleton are hiring new staff. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are in need of a new HR adviser. The successful applicant will be able to work with other senior royals, not with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle but with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge broke a royal protocol following their Mustique trip with Prince George. Prince William and Prince George are the second- and third-in-line to the throne. They are discouraged from boarding the same plane to avoid affecting the line of succession in case of a fatal accident, but the Cambridges did not follow this rule.
