“I don’t know… but it was fun. I didn’t think it was going to be that big of a deal when me and David, my older brother on the show, were talking about it. But I understand. I’m so proud of that. It was so fun, and it was so funny. We were having dinner and talking about it hypothetically, where we would be, but we’re all older. David’s married now so we’re in such different places in our lives,” she said.
“Wizards of Waverly Place” centered on the adventures of the magical Russo family. Gomez’s Alex, Henrie’s Justin and Jake T. Austin’s Max, helped their wizard father at the family sandwich shop while also learning how to become the best wizard. In April, some of the stars in “Wizards of Waverly Place” reunited at Henrie’s wedding. At that time, Austin shared photos from their reunion via his Twitter account.
Meanwhile, Gomez is being kept busy by the ongoing production for “Hotel Transylvania 3,” where she is giving life to the character of Mavis. Gomez shared a series of videos on her Instagram Stories featuring her animated counterpart. In one of her videos, Gomez said that she couldn’t believe it’s been five years since she first recorded for “Hotel Transylvania.” She also said that she just wrapped up recording for the third installment.
On top of this, Gomez is also actively involved in “13 Reasons Why” as an executive producer. Netflix just renewed the show for a second season after it received rave reviews from fans and critics. “13 Reasons Why” follows the life of Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), a high school student who committed suicide. Before doing so, she sent out 13 tapes to different people who were instrumental to her decision to take her own life.
