Selena Gomez, Jimmy Butler Dating Rumors: Singer 'Keeping Options Open,' Report Says

Selena Gomez and Miami Heat player Jimmy Butler sparked romance rumors after they were seen grabbing dinner together.

Although the reported dinner date may have just been a friendly outing, an unnamed source told E! News that the singer and the NBA star have been going out “a few times.” Gomez and Butler have yet to address the speculations about their relationship.

“[Gomez is] keeping her options open but has been on a few dates with Jimmy and thinks he's a great guy," the source told the outlet.

"They hung out a few times while Selena was in New York City. Jimmy asked her to go to dinner and they had a great time. It's very casual and she's open to seeing where things go, but isn't settling down just yet," the insider added.

Moreover, the source said that Gomez is currently single and has become more open to dating. Her friends are fond of setting her up with guys, but “she has loved being single,” per the insider.

The “Wolves” singer, whose past relationships had been public, is also being careful about dating this year. Gomez has put her health first during the pandemic and has rarely gone out of her “quarantine bubble,” the insider shared.

“She's been extremely busy working from home on her new beauty line and is very proud to have launched that during a pandemic. She's been enjoying cooking at home and only seeing a select few friends and family members regularly," the source said of Gomez.

Her sighting with Butler, who has a child with model Kaitlin Nowak, comes a few years after Gomez ended things with Justin Bieber, who went on to pop the question to now-wife Hailey Baldwin. Before reuniting with Bieber for the last time, the former Disney Channel child star dated The Weeknd, who was her date for the 2017 Met Gala.

In September, the Rare Beauty founder opened up about dating in the time of the coronavirus pandemic.
