Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber Show Off New Hairstyles [PHOTOS]

Selena Gomez and boyfriend Justin Bieber are welcoming the new year with new looks. Both pop stars showed off new hairstyles for 2012.

On Jan. 11, Gomez tweeted the first photo of her new hairdo - purple and blue streaks against her dark brown locks. Change is good... My girls @ninezeroone take care of me always :) she posted with a photo of her new look.

Hair stylists Nikki Lee and Riawna Capri, who formerly worked as stylists at the Ken Paves Salon, are to thank for Gomez's colorful strands. The two stylists now own Nine Zero One salon. Nine Zero One style is located at 901 Westbourne Drive.

She wanted something a little more spunky fun and different, said Chauntal Lewis, who works the front desk at Nine Zero One salon in West Hollywood.

The 19-year-old did not dye her hair. Instead, she had 75 strands of Great Lengths Hair Extensions colored purple and blue glued in. The funky new style is perfect for her upcoming South American tour that kicks off in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on Jan. 22.

Justin Bieber decided to change up his color, too. The teen sensation was seen leaving a friend's house with his girlfriend with much darker locks. The couple had been watching the Green Bay Packers NFL game in Sherman Oaks, California, reported The Daily Mail.

He sported a different look at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. Photos from the event show that Bieber was back to his signature style - an eyebrow-skimming, side-swept 'do. He appeared with TOSY Robotics at CES to promote the company's new entertainment robot.

The 17-year-old became famous for his coiffed hair. When he chopped it in early 2011, millions were crushed. He explained the decision, saying: I just wanted to, that's all, not really a big reason; I just woke up and said, 'I don't want this anymore,' so I just cut it.
