Is Selena Gomez And Justin Bieber’s Relationship Ruining Romance With The Weeknd?

Selena Gomez has had quite an eventful year and in the midst of it, she has managed to develop a friendship with ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber. Despite what many thought could be the rekindling of their romance, the “Wolves” singer is still dating The Weeknd, and her decision to be cordial with the “Cold Water” artist has not affected her relationship.

Although Gomez and Bieber are working on their friendship, the “Bad Liar” singer is still committed to her current boyfriend. “He has been on tour and she’s been traveling back and forth to L.A., but they are 100 percent still on,” a source told Us Weekly.

A second source revealed that the “Starboy” singer is not in the dark about his girlfriend’s relationship with her ex. “The Weekend is well aware Selena and Justin are talking.”

“The Weeknd doesn’t think Selena talking to Justin again is weird at all. He doesn’t care,” the source added.

Gomez and Biebe,r who dated on and off since 2011 before ending their relationship in 2014, begin to speak “a couple months after her surgery.” The “Fetish” singer had a kidney transplant earlier this year amid her battle with lupus.

“Selena is simply trying to make peace with Justin after her illness,” one insider told the publication.

“He has been great to her since her surgery and they are on good terms right now. They got back in touch recently through their friends and have seen each other at church,” the source explained.

The two decided to address their relationship with one another after maturing, and also receiving encouragement from mutual friends.

“Justin and Selena recently started speaking. I don’t know when exactly but it’s because of the same church they go to. The community there is pretty tight-knit and Justin and Selena have a lot of mutual friends who brought them back together,” a source close to Gomez revealed.

“They realized it was time to grow past their history and move on. They’re grown up a lot in the past couple of years and are mature about the situation,” the insider added.

Even though Gomez is patching up things with Bieber, she is still all about her relationship with The Weeknd, and the “Purpose” singer reportedly respects her romance. “Justin is happy that Selena found a good guy that treats her well,” a source told E! News.

“He has nothing bad to say about The Weeknd,” the insider added.

Gomez and The Weeknd were first romantically linked to each other when the two were spotted kissing on a dinner date in January. Since then, the two have become inseparable and have made a number of red carpet appearances together.

While Gomez seems content about making peace with her ex-boyfriend, it’s clear she doesn’t have any plans on ending her relationship with The Weeknd anytime soon.
