Selena Gomez is gearing up for her collaboration with South Korean girl group BLACKPINK. Ahead of its release, the singer made a new ice cream flavor with Serendipity to celebrate the project.

Gomez shared a video about Serendipity's newest flavor "Cookies & Cream Remix" on Instagram. She revealed that she is now part of the ownership team and the new product she created was a tribute to BLACKPINK. The American artist and the Asian girl band are collaborating for a song, entitled "Ice Cream," which will release Friday.

"I grew up going to the iconic @serendipity3nyc restaurant so I couldn’t be more excited to join the ownership team. In honor of the release of ICE CREAM with @blackpinkofficial , I created Cookies and Cream Remix… made with pink vanilla ice cream as a nod to the girls!" Gomez wrote in the caption.

The short video showed Gomez enjoying a pint of ice cream while explaining its ingredients.

"This is my favorite Serendipity," Gomez said in the video.

"It's called Cookies & Cream Remix," she continued before pointing to the girl on the label saying, "That's me!"

"And it has pink vanilla ice cream and with thick fudge swirl and brown cream-filled cookie pieces, so basically it's heaven and every bite is delicious," she added while giggling before eating a spoonful of ice cream.

On Sunday, BLACKPINK shared a clip of their recent chat with the "Boyfriend" singer. Gomez thanked them for staying up early to make the video call possible.

During the call, they shared how excited they were for the collaboration. The girl group was a fan of Gomez and the latter also considered working with the K-pop band a "dream come true."

“We’re really glad that you’re on [the single], because, you know, we’ve been a big fan of yours for a long time,” BLACKPINK member Rosé told Gomez.

“I’m so stoked. I’ve been a fan of you guys, and so this is a big, big dream for me, and I can’t wait,” Gomez responded.

Gomez also promoted their collaboration on Twitter. She shared a snap of her enjoying an ice cream cone late last week.

"Ice Cream…@BLACKPINK…SELPINK IN YOUR AREA soon… August 28," she wrote.

In related news, Gomez showed off her culinary skills to her BFF Taylor Swift in the most recent episode of "Selena + Chef." Chef and food personality Roy Choi taught the "Kill Em with Kindness" singer how to make Korean barbecue Texas breakfast tacos. After successfully making the dish, Gomez called Swift via FaceTime to show it to her friend.

"Look, I wanted to show you," Gomez told Swift while showing off her work during their video call.

"If you don’t send me the recipe, we’re going to have words. I want to be served that," the "Reputation" singer replied.

Swift and Gomez have been friends for years. In 2018, the "Wolves" hitmaker shared that they dated members of the Jonas Brothers together and they just clicked from that moment on.
