Selena Gomez Missing The Weeknd? ‘Starboy’ Singer Absent From Gomez’s Super Bowl 2017 Instagram Photos
Selena Gomez and The Weeknd may have just spent a PDA-filled week together in Italy, but that doesn’t mean the “Good For You” hitmaker doesn’t miss her new beau.
Gomez held a Super Bowl LI viewing party on Sunday, Feb. 5 with some of her friends. But while it was supposed to be a happy occasion, the 24-year-old singer may have felt a bit left out since all of her friends have paired up, leaving her the only one without a partner in a room full of couples. Despite this, the singer seemed to be enjoying the game and having a blast hanging out with her pals.
In the photos Gomez shared on Instagram stories, The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, was noticeably absent. The “Starboy” crooner, 26, did not post any Super Bowl-related content on his own social media accounts, so he may have missed out on the big game between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons.
A fan account grabbed the photos and videos Gomez posted on her Instagram stories. Check them out below:
In January, Gomez and The Weeknd made headlines when photos of them kissing during a night out in Los Angeles surfaced, sparking dating rumors. This came just two months after the latter broke things off with ex-girlfriend and Victoria’s Secret Angel Bella Hadid.
Gomez met her new beau at the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in New York City back in November 2015, according to Refinery29. Gomez performed “Me And My Girls” and “Hands to Myself,” while The Weeknd serenaded the crowd and the models with his song, “Can’t Feel My Face.” At the time, The Weeknd and Hadid had already been together for a few months. The two exes broke things in November last year after dating for a year and a half.
The Weeknd and Hadid recently ran into each other at the 2016 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show in Paris, where he performed along with Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars. In the same event, Hadid made her Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show debut and walked with Kendall Jenner and older sister Gigi Hadid.
Meanwhile, Gomez recently teased new music on her social media account. Last week, the singer shared two snippets of her upcoming track in Instagram stories. Billboard speculated that the song could be her collaboration track with Kygo, titled “It Ain’t Me.”
