Selena Gomez Reacts To Justin Bieber DUI Arrest; Singer’s Ex-Girlfriend ‘Devastated,' Says Report
Beliebers are not the only ones heartbroken by Justin Bieber’s DUI arrest Thursday. Bieber’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, singer/actress Selena Gomez, is also reportedly “devastated” over the singer’s latest legal trouble.
According to a report from Hollywoodlife.com, the 21-year-old “Come & Get It” singer is struggling after learning of Bieber’s arrest in Miami Beach, Fla., early Thursday morning. “She was woken up and told what is happening,” a source told the gossip site Thursday, adding, “She is completely devastated over what has happened.”
The former Disney channel star has yet to comment on the reports on her official social media accounts.
TMZ was the first to report Thursday that Bieber, 19, had been apprehended by authorities after driving up to 60 mph in a 30 mph residential neighborhood in Miami Beach. The singer, who was allegedly spotted drag racing, was arrested for driving with an expired license, suspicion of DUI and resisting arrest without violence. The “Never Say Never” singer faced Judge Joseph P. Farina in a Miami courtroom on Thursday; his bond was set at $2,500.
Gomez and Bieber made headlines earlier this week for their alleged text message fight, screenshots of which were released by Radar Online. According to the report, Bieber texted the former TV actress explicit images and begged for her forgiveness after reportedly angering her for canoodling with another women while on vacation. Gomez is rumored to have responded to the singer, saying, “U r a drug addict. U need help” and “U need to grow the f--k up. I hope you get jail time.”
The duo, who have been linked since 2010, were last spotted together enjoying a side-by-side Segway ride in Bieber’s Calabasas, Calif., neighborhood on Jan. 2. Just days after that outing, the pair posted a photo on Instagram on Jan. 4 showing their rekindled romance, with Bieber including the caption: “Love the way you look at me.”
