Selena Gomez got a new tattoo on her thigh recently, and she shared pictures of it with her fans on Instagram. The singer got the new ink after her 2019 American Music Awards (AMA) performance, and she promised to share more details in the coming days on social media.

Gomez is walking the red carpet of AMA for the first time since 2017. To mark the occasion, the singer got a new tattoo on her thigh. She shared the photos of the new ink and other snaps from the evening on her Instagram page.

“AMAs day.. more to come...” Gomez captioned the post.

Gomez went with a touch of spirituality for the new tattoo. The new ink shows a pair of hands in prayer, holding a rosary that hangs down below.

All the photos Gomez shared online appear to be from the back stage, before her 2019 AMA performance. She can be seen wearing a sparkly dress in the snaps. She sang “Lose You To Love Me,” which some believe is about her ex Justin Bieber, and “Look At Her Now” for the evening.

On the red carpet Gomez wore a neon Versace mini dress. The singer shared a few pictures of her dress on Instagram.

Gomez dedicated her return to AMA to her fans, and thanked the fans and her team for standing by her. She said that it feels good to be back, and added that she is “excited for this chapter” of her life.

While making her way on the red carpet, Gomez also interacted with the fans and posed for selfies with them. AMA has released one of these moments on its official Twitter page.

Gomez has announced that her new album is currently available for pre-order. It will be released on Jan. 10, 2020. She revealed that the new songs are her “diary from the past few years.”
