A brand-new handset from Sony tied to the model number E5663 is reportedly making waves online. This device is believed to be the Sony Xperis Z4 Compact and it has recently visited both GFXBench and Geekbench benchmark testing sites.

According to Phone Arena, Sony’s new E5663 or Xperia Z4 Compact smartphone will reportedly come with a pocket-friendly 4.6-inch display and 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution. This display combination apparently makes E5663 the first Sony handset with 1080p screen resolution on a less than 5-inch display-clad screen.

When it comes to camera specifications, the Xperia Z4 Compact will reportedly sport a humongous 20 MP rear-facing unit with HDR and LED flash. There is a 12 MP front-facing shooter for selfies and video chats. Sony might market this handset as a selfie phone, says Phone Arena.

On the other hand, GFX Bench says, the upcoming handset will come powered by a 64-bit, octa-core (MediaTek MT6795) Cortex A53 processor, clocked at 1.9 GHz and will be backed by a good 3 GB of RAM unit. Plus, the graphics on the device will be taken care by PowerVR Rogue G6200 GPU. This compact device is expected to come equipped with 16 GB of built-in storage capacity. On the software front, this Sony handset will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.

Sony has not confirmed the existence or specifications of the Xperia Z4 Compact so far.
