Selma Blair has been granted a restraining order against her ex Ronald Carlson after he allegedly physically attacked her.
According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Carlson was dropping off a television set at her home on Feb. 22, when Blair, who was on the couch, told him that she was feeling ill and was on medication to treat her Multiple Sclerosis.
In an alleged fit of frustration, Carlson purportedly screamed at Blair, “You f—ked up, you can’t do anything, you can’t love anybody, you’re f—king useless, you cripple … I don’t f—king deserve this, I can do so much better than you.”
Blair claimed that Carlson became enraged and jumped on her on the couch, grabbed her neck, “and strangled her, throttling her and shaking her head and shoulders aggressively,” the outlet reported.
According to the documents, Blair retaliated by sticking her fingers in Carlson’s eyes and mouth. He responded by covering her mouth and face with his hands, which left Blair unable to breathe and later led to her losing consciousness.
When the cops turned up at Blair's residence, she said her nose began to bleed heavily and she lost consciousness again. Immediately, EMTs at the scene decided to take Blair to the hospital for further evaluation.
Carlson was arrested for felony domestic violence with corporal injuries. Police initially granted a five-day restraining order against him, but Blair and her legal team secured a temporary one that stops him from coming near her, the outlet reported.
Later, Carlson also filed a restraining order against Blair. He alleged that Blair became “angry and antagonistic” when he declined to sit next to her at her home. He said they had both recently been sick and he wanted to maintain distance.
He then claimed that Blair became confrontational and told him that his daughter was a “f—king loser.” She then swung her right arm at his face, hit him in the eye, and continued to “scratch him in the nose, eyes, and cheeks.” He denied attacking her and said he was only trying to defend himself from her, according to the outlet.
Carlson said that Blair’s bloody nose had been a problem days before the fight occurred and that she had complained about it to him in a text that he later shared with TMZ.
Carlson’s restraining order petition has not yet been granted.
Prior to breaking up earlier this year, the pair had dated on and off since 2017, Page Six reported.
