Senate to hold afternoon vote on bank reform: Reid
The Senate will try again to take up a sweeping reform of banking rules at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said, as they keep the pressure on Republicans to drop their objections to the bill.
Republicans united to prevent the Senate from taking up the bill on Monday as they sought more time to work out a compromise. Democrats plan another vote on Wednesday if they fall short in Tuesday's vote, an aide said.
