Serafina Sunset Opens In Los Angeles: 5 Fabulous Reasons To Hit Up The Italian Hotspot
Serafina Restaurant Group has finally arrived on the West Coast with the opening of Serafina Sunset. This is the first California installment of the legendary New York City-based Italian eatery. The renowned restaurant chain, founded in 1995 by Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato, offers light Italian fare highlighted by delicious thin-crust pizza served in Serafina’s signature upbeat, energetic atmosphere from morning to night.
After debuting on Madison Avenue over 20 years ago, Serafina instantly became a popular destination for local families and trendy jetsetters. Assaf and Granato’s unique Serafina style was quickly embraced in New York and beyond as they opened seven more locations in NYC and expanded around the world. Alongside partners Mel B and Stephen Belafonte, Assaf and Granato have chosen the Sunset Boulevard location because of its vibrant nightlife and the prime West Hollywood scene.

#1. The Location
Serafina Sunset is located in the the heart of West Hollywood on the famous Sunset Blvd. The stylish neighborhood also includes blocks the private members-only club Soho House as well as swanky hotels including The Mondrian, The Standard and The Andaz. The restaurant is also steps from nightlife hotspots 1OAK and Boosty Bellows.
#2. The Space
Open daily for lunch and dinner, Serafina Sunset features a spacious outdoor dining area, a second floor terrace used for private parties or events, and a large bar in the middle of the space. The décor is light and airy with art from Mr. Brainwash displayed throughout the restaurant. A beautiful fire pit in the patio gives guests a cozy, comfortable vibe.
#3. The Chef's Specialties
Locals and NYC transplants are finally able to enjoy Serafina’s homemade pastas made with pesto, hillside cherry tomatoes, porcini mushrooms, caviar, truffles combined with signature sauces. Favorites include Paglia and Fieno, Spaghetti Aglio E Olio “Al Pacino” and Tagliolini Di “Cortina” Al Pollo. Additionally, guests can choose simple marinated meats, fish and vegetables like Branzino Al Cherry Tomatoes, Grilled Fresh Atlantic Salmon, Chicken Breast Paillard and Veal Scaloppine Al Limone. Serafina Sunset offers a variety of salads and vegan options including the immensely popular Vegetarian Platter made with spaghetti squash, mixed vegetables, pine nuts and tomato sauce. All of Serafina’s creative dishes come to life with the freshest locally grown produce and ingredients, while the delicious desserts and extensive wine list satisfy every craving.
Of course, don't forget the pizza. Serafina offers over 20 varieties of thin crust pizzas made with 00 Italian flour, filtered water, extra virgin olive oil and sea salt from Sicily. The Pizzas are light enough to be shared as a starter or consumed as a main course. The menu includes selections that are popular worldwide including the Tartufo Nero made with robiola cheese, fonstina, truffle oil and black truffles; the Al Caviale made with boiled sliced potatoes, crème fraichem caviar; Di Fabio with tomato, mozzarella, prosciutto di parma, sliced tomato; and V.I.P Margherita made with imported Italian “fior di latte” mozzarella, tomato and fresh basil.

Serafina Sunset is located on 8768 Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood, CA 90069 and is open Monday to Thursday from 12pm – 12am, Friday from 12pm – 1:30am, Saturday from 11:30 – 1:30am, and Sunday from 11:30am – 12am.
