No. 1 Serena Williams is on top of the world after winning her sixth Wimbledon title over the weekend, but the 21-time grand slam champion’s social life is what’s grabbing headlines.

According to South African publication Times Now via The Big Lead, Williams and famed rap superstar Drake are dating. Drake sat in Williams’ box throughout Wimbledon and Times Now claims a source said Williams was spending any free time she had during the tournament with him.

“Publicly she says they’re just friends but Drake has been by Serena’s side throughout the tournament and when they’ve been away from the public and relaxed, it’s been pretty obvious that they are together,” the source was quoted.

”Even Serena’s team have been talking about it in the clubhouse to a few people they trust. She has been incredibly focused on her title bid. But if she’s had a quiet moment she’s spent it with Drake, even going to watch his Wireless set and having dinners in London.”

There’s been no confirmation of the report, especially after Williams shot down speculation about a relationship during a press conference after she defeated rival Maria Sharapova in the semifinals. According to For The Win, Williams referred to Drake as “family” and a “friend” and as kind of a good luck charm.

Before the recent report, the rumors technically began to swirl when Drake went to dinner with Williams and her friend and fellow tennis star Caroline Wozniacki last week in London, according to Daily Mail.

This certainly isn’t the first time Drake’s been linked to or potentially expressed interest in a top female athlete. Last year he posted several videos and pictures of WNBA star Skylar Diggins on his Instagram account, leading many to speculate whether Drake had a crush on the Tulsa Shock guard.
