Serena Williams Shares Stunning Versace Wedding Gown Photo Post-Wedding To Alexis Ohanian
Serena Williams recently shared a stunning photo of herself wearing a white Versace wedding gown.
On her Instagram account, the professional athlete is photographed sitting with the layers of her gown resting on the floor. Williams’ hands are touching each other, and her left hand showed off her gorgeous wedding and engagement rings. Her face is calm in the snap, and her head is tilted down.
Williams did not put any caption alongside her photo, but the happy bride couldn’t be more excited to marry her long-time boyfriend, Alexis Ohanian. The couple tied the knot on Thursday, Nov. 16 in a “Beauty and the Beast”-themed ceremony in New Orleans.
The couple’s wedding was attended by approximately 250 guests, which included their family and friends. Some of the celebrities spotted at the ceremony and reception included Kim Kardashian, Jay Z, Eva Longoria and more.
According to CNN, American Vogue editor Anna Wintour and her team were also present at Williams and Ohanian’s wedding because they signed an exclusive deal with the couple to release all of their official photos. None of the guests were allowed to take photos using this mobile devices or cameras.
Williams and Ohanian’s “Beauty and the Beast”-themed wedding had the guests walking towards the reception venue while the song, “Be Our Guest,” played.
The couple first met in Rome in 2015, and Ohanian asked for Williams’ hand in marriage on the same spot where they first met. After she said yes in December 2016, Williams penned a poem on Reddit, the social network that Ohanian and his roommate, Steve Huffman, founded in 2005, according to People.
Williams and Ohanian just welcomed their first child, a girl, in September. Last week, the tennis player called Ohanian’s attention for buying Alexis Olympia too many things, especially clothes. On her Twitter account, Williams said that she will explode if Ohanian buys Alexis Olympia another piece of clothing.
Ohanian playfully replied that splurging on books should not count.
