Serena Williams 'So Stressed' Over Daughter Alexis' Teething, Asks Followers For Help
Serena Williams is stressed with daughter, Alexis' teething.
Williams has been honest that she's been never around babies. So, it's understandable that she's overwhelmed with motherhood, as this is the case to most, if not all, new moms.
On Sunday, the tennis player took to Instagram to ask for help as her daughter, Alexis Olympia, has been crying due to teething. According to Williams, she tried a number of things but nothing seemed to work.
"Teething- aka the devil - is so hard. Poor Alexis Olympia has been so uncomfortable. She cried so much (she never cries) I had to hold her until she fell asleep. I've tried amber beads... cold towels.... chew on mommies fingers.... homeopathic water (lol on that one) but nothing is working," Williams wrote in the caption.
"It's breaking my heart. I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I'm so stressed. Help? Anyone??" she continued.
A lot of her followers responded to her call for help. Some moms recommended Tylenol and Chamomile bath for her baby. Another user suggested that she try oral gel and freeze Olympia's teething ring. Another advised that the new mom blend her baby's favorite fruit.
This is not the first time that Williams asks for parenting tips online. In August, Williams took to Reddit and asked what she should prepare for her hospital bag.
"When did you pack your hospital bag?" the athlete wrote. "[One] month before? 6 weeks? 8 weeks? I'm totally stalling. But I have a lot of time still.... I think...Anything you didn’t expect to need that I'll really appreciate having in there?"
A number of her followers agreed that she should bring her favorite snack, phone charger, comfortable clothing and baby changing items. Others recommended bringing hair ties, extra pillows, comfortable blankets, towels, nursing bras, eyes masks and earplugs.
William's husband, Alexis Ohanian, also received tons of parenting tips online. In fact, he shared his favorite tip.
"My favorite (tip) is to sleep with a blanket for like a month before the due date so you get your dad scent all over it, and then wrap the baby in it once it shows up, so they're not just immediately bonding with mom, but also getting a bit of dad," Ohanian said.
