'Sex and the City' Star Jessica Parker Does it With Ease, But How? (VIDEO)
Sarah Jessica Parker's new film, based on Alison Pearson's debut novel I Don't Know How She Does It, is all set to hit screens this Friday.
The flick is based on Welsh author and newspaper columnist Pearson's novel of the same title, which sold 4 million copies after its release in 2002.
The American comedy adapted by Aline Brosh McKenna is about a woman who is trying to manage her career and motherhood.
I love the opportunity to tell this woman's story because I think it reflects millions and millions of American women, Parker, who plays Kate, a Boston wife, mother and financial affairs manager, told The Boston Herald.
Parker who plays a role of mother of James Wilkie, 8, and 2-year-old twins Marion and Tabitha, said, Obviously there was so much about it that was familiar -- this internal conflict mothers have whether we work inside or outside the home.
Parker was cast in the title role and narrate the story in voiceover as she did in Sex and the City.
Pearson was very happy with the casting.
She really looks like a wife and mother, said Pearson. A lot of women you see on the screen, they look like they were introduced to the kids five minutes ago.
When Parker was asked about how she does it?
It's really about time and how you spend it and what's least difficult for the family. Some days you're simply overcome with questions, she replied. But I know now how much time it really takes to get the kids out in the morning and I still wait until the last minute. I've learned nothing!
Apart from Sarah Jessica Parker, Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear will also be seen in the film.
