‘Shades Of Blue’ Season 2 Spoilers: Wozniak Proves His Loyalty To Harlee In Episode 5

“Shades of Blue” Season 2, episode 5 recently saw Wozniak (Ray Liotta) proving his loyalty to Harlee (Jennifer Lopez).

In “Sweet Caroline,” Wozniak’s team receives a call about an unnamed woman’s murder. Upon arriving at the scene of the crime, Harlee realizes that the woman is her boyfriend James’ (Gino Anthony Pesi) ex-fiancée, Caroline. A worried Harlee recalls her meeting with Caroline just the night before, which means she could be one of the suspects in this case. To make things worse, Harlee’s stolen gun was the one used to shoot Caroline.

In an attempt to clear her name, Harlee decides to go to James’ apartment building and delete files from the CCTV. However, there is a four-digit password needed to gain access to the clip. Harlee ends up stealing the entire hard drive filled with footage from the apartment’s camera. Her partner, Tess (Drea de Matteo), sees her with the hard drive and asks what’s going on. Harlee comes clean and informs her that she was at James’ apartment the night before. Harlee also shares with Tess that she and James are dating. Tess proves her loyalty to Harlee by protecting her.

But Wozniak is the one that makes sure Harlee will not be implicated for Caroline’s murder. While at the morgue, he removes the bullet in Caroline’s body and replaces it with the bullets he used while target shooting. This means no one will think Harlee shot Caroline because she is now in a relationship with James.

Unfortunately, Harlee’s lucky streak did not last very long. Towards the end of the episode, she arrives at James apartment and surprises him with pasta. James tells Harlee that nothing came out of their relationship with each other so it’s better to just break up. Harlee agrees and leaves James’ apartment in tears.
