Shades of Grey, the sexy book that has everyone talking, is set to become a film. This week universal pictures/focus features purchased the rights to the story for a cool $5 million. Fans of the book are buzzing about who will take on the female lead. Anastasia Steele is a 21-year old virgin who's nervous, clumsy, and sexually curious. When she meets a 27-year-old billionaire, Christen Gray, she is unable to resist him. Even when he asks her to sign a sex contract, stipulating that she will become his submissive, she cannot refuse. The erotic tale has been generating controversy but it's appeal is difficult to ignore. The story was inspired by Twilight and the characters described closely resemble Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Stewart seems like a good choice for the role of Steele, since she embodies the character in both age and mannerisms.
