Shane Mosley Jr Says Manny Pacquiao Will Never Beat Floyd Mayweather
Shane Mosley Jr. has claimed that Floyd Mayweather will always beat Manny Pacquiao.
Pacquiao and Mayweather are considered ageing fighters in the world of boxing today. However, despite the new names already presenting a strong case to be the world’s number one champ, most fans are still more interested in Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch.
Now that Mayweather already announced his return, one of the fights the undefeated champ is highly expected to ink is the rematch with Pacquiao. And while the said rematch is still progressing, boxing personalities are already predicting the outcome of the fight.
In a recent talk with Elie Seckbach of EsNews, Mosley Jr., son of former world boxing champ “Sugar” Shane Mosley, made a bold prediction of the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2. According to the young Mosley, Pacquiao will couldn’t beat Mayweather in the rematch and emphasized that the Filipino legend wouldn’t be able to “time” his undefeated rival.
“I don’t think Manny could beat Floyd Mayweather,” Mosley Jr. predicted.
“In my personal opinion, just knowing boxing, knowing how good Mayweather is, I don’t think that Manny can time him,” Mosley Jr. continued.
Mosley Jr. added that he thinks Mayweather will always be a step ahead of Pacquiao. In fact, he even stated that Mayweather will always be able to calculate Pacquiao by saying “Money” will always going to have Pacquiao’s number.
“I think he’s always gonna have Manny Pacquiao’s number. That is Floyd Mayweather,” Mosley Jr. stated.
If Mosley Jr. is as fearless as he could be in terms of predicting a big fight, his father Mosley Sr. is quite the opposite. In his latest dig into the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch talks, the elder Mosley said that he’s convinced that Mayweather and Pacquiao are definitely the two top fighters in the world today.
However, both legends should really face each other once and for all to finally settle the score as he is not totally convinced by BoxRec’s rankings which puts Mayweather at the no. 1 spot.
Mosley stated that Mayweather and Pacquiao could fight not only for the belts but also for the whole boxing community. He even noted that both legends were the “Top 2” greatest boxers on BoxRec and therefore they could also settle for the no. 1 spot inside the ring.
“They could fight for all, they were rated on BoxRec as 1 and 2 so, 1 and 2 could go ahead and get along,” Mosley noted.
