Shania Twain has praised Taylor Swift after the latter broke one of her records.

The 56-year-old singer was dethroned by Swift, 32, as the female artist with the most weeks at no. 1 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart. Twain previously held the 97-week record, which Swift beat after spending a total of 99 weeks in the top spot.

"Let's Go Girls!!!! Proud of you @taylorswift13. Historical records are meant to be made and then broken. The baton is meant to be passed on to new generations. Unstoppable young female country artists are [fire emoji] in spite of the hurdles," Twain tweeted, adding the hashtag, "#trailblazers."

Fans gushed over Twain's sweet gesture and Swift's accomplishment.

"Congratulations @taylorswift13. Thank you @ShaniaTwain. Queens supporting queens," one Twitter user commented.

"Thanks for always being such a supportive queen. We love you! I know it's a long shot but hoping for a collab or at least a performance together someday," another user wrote.

"You’re an absolute legend!!! Thank you so much for being so sweet and supportive. We love you, queen," a third wrote.

Swift returned to the top of the Country Albums chart twice last year with her re-recorded albums "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" and "Red (Taylor's Version)," which spent three and seven weeks at no. 1, respectively.

While she is now the female artist with the most weeks at no. 1, the all-time record is owned by Garth Brooks, who spent 169 weeks at the top of the chart. He is followed by Alabama with 125 and Willie Nelson with 106.

Swift is a longtime fan of Twain and has called the "You're Still the One" singer one of her musical influences. The "All Too Well" hitmaker recently gave Twain a shoutout in a TikTok video about country girls going pop.

"Learned from the best #mamasaid #swifttok @shaniatwain," Swift wrote in the caption.

Twain got in on the trend and saluted Dolly Parton in her own post. "Thank you @taylorswift I appreciate you! Paying this one forward to another trailblazer," Twain wrote.

"I have ceased to be a person anymore, I have exploded into a cloud of confetti hearts," Swift replied.

Twain previously supported Swift when the latter transitioned from country to pop with her fifth studio album "1989." The "From This Moment On" hitmaker told ET Canada in 2014: "Everybody should just follow their heart and do their artistic best and just enjoy their creativity."

Twain also praised Swift as a singer, songwriter and performer. She was impressed that the younger artist "does it all," adding that the "Red" singer is "young and she needs to just do whatever she's having fun at."
