In a solemn interview set at the Orangeburg-Calhoun Regional Detention Center in South Carolina, talk show host Oprah Winfrey asked Shaquan Duley why she killed her two baby sons just a few years ago. The interview, which was held on Friday, will be shown on an episode of Oprah's Next Chapter on April 1 at 9 p.m. The evening show will also include interviews with Duley's 7-year-old daughter and Duley's mother and sister.

Duley confessed to suffocating her children, 2-year-old Devean and 18-month-old Ja'van, in 2010 after a heated argument with family members. She then strapped the toddlers into their car seats before driving her car into the Edisto River in 2010. Duley originally claimed that the children had drowned in a car accident but investigators noticed some major inconsistencies in her initial story- for one, her clothes were completely dry.

Duley was ultimately charged with two counts of murder, and she has been in jail since. After pleading guilty on March 16, Duley is scheduled for sentencing on March 30 where she may face between 30 years and life in prison.
