shark week 2015
Find out what programs will air on Monday during the 2015 installment of Discovery Channel's Shark Week. Discovery Channel

Ready to sink your teeth into more bloody-good TV? Shark Week will return Monday night with new thrills and gills from the 28th season of the hit, week-long Discovery Channel event. And according to reports, viewers of the beloved summer series can anticipate a boat-load of fishy fun during Shark Week’s second installment.

Check out what episodes will make a splash during the second night of Shark Week on Monday, July 6:

“Return of the Great White Serial Killer”

9-10 p.m. EDT

Shark Week will paddle out to Surf Beach, California, to investigate a series of Great White shark attacks that have occurred with "clock like precision at the same beach in the same month, every two years” (the last two attacks in 2010 and 2012 being fatal), according to the synopsis of “Return of the Great White Serial Killer.”

At this terrifying schedule, it was determined the next attack would occur in October 2014. That’s why shark expert Ralph Collier and Brandon McMillian decided to search for answers, hoping to discover if the same shark is responsible for the previous attacks, whether or not there’d be more and why they're happening.

“Alien Sharks: Close Encounters”

10-11 p.m. EDT

Everyone’s favorite Shark Week program is back -- for its third installment! During “Alien Sharks: Close Encounter,” shark researcher and scientist Paul Clerkin will attempt to track down the most “incredible and unusual sharks on the planet” that have been rarely seen on film. He’ll do this by traveling to the depths of the deepest, darkest and most unexplored parts of the ocean with new technologies, eager to get a glimpse at some of these mysterious creatures.

According to the summary for “Alien Shark,” a 20-foot mega mouth shark will be filmed on the eastern coast of Taiwan after getting marked with a pop-up satellite tag.

“Shark After Dark”

11-11:30 p.m. EDT

Eli Roth, executive producer of “Hemlock Grove,” will be back to discuss more shark-related topics during Monday night’s installment. His guests will include Emmy award-winning host and producer Brandon McMillan and comedian Anthony Jeselnik.
